抄録・概要	20世紀に我々の健康をとりまく環境に関して起きた大きな出来事は2つある。ひとつは医学のめざましい進歩と衛生環境の改善による疾病別死亡率順位の変化（結核などの感染症から癌、心臓病や脳卒中など生活習慣病へ）である。もうひとつは有史以来例のない繁栄を営みかつてないほどの利便性・快楽・長寿化を得た反面、運動不足・過食・ストレス・ドラッグ・アルコールの乱用による自らの身体の崩壊をすすめたことである。21世紀の課題は20世紀に自らの身体の健康について無頓着であった反省をふまえて、ただ長寿化された生命を不健康な状態で生きてゆくのではなく、生活の質の向上QOL（Quality of life）を意識し、追求する社会とすることである。そのような社会を考察するにあたり、（I）誰でも健康な身体づくりができる社会、（II）高齢者・障害者が機能を最大限に活用して健常者と共生する社会、（III）高齢者・障害者が要介助となっても在宅医療について十分な社会資源が活用できる社会、という三つの視点からとらえる。（I）誰でも健康な身体づくりができる社会に目を向けると、特に高齢化社会、生活習慣病と骨粗鬆症について考えるべき課題は多い。21世紀は「健康についての危機感」を持って疾病を予防し、運動器の鍛錬により「上手に歳をとること」がきわめて重要であり、経済效果にも影響が大きい。
抄録・概要	We have two topics about our health in last century. One, we died of mainly infectious disease or malnutrition in the past, but owing to progress of medical science, life style related disease has been increased recently. The other, we have lost our health due to some harmful factors, instead of unusual convenience. In this century, we must organize a society where we can get good QOL (quality of life),not only a simple long life.For organizing such a society, we have three point of view. 1) A society where anyone can get his health 2) A society where handicapped people can make his life applying his own ability 3) A society where we can use enough welfare system for aided people Looking at case 1), we have many problems of an aging society, life style related disease and osteoporosis. In this century, we should have a crisis in health to prevent from some disease, and get old well by physical training. This is effective for economical aspect too.
